RIKKE MØLGAARD RELEASES HER FIRST SOLO ALBUM

A warm album from a passionate and persistent singer

It’s all about daring and believing. It’s all about a more mature girl power. Singer Rikke Mølgaard has invested everything in the release of her debut record. Not just her talent and hard labor. Rikke Mølgaard has financed the whole project. To be able to make the album she’s always dreamed of doing. One Side Of Me was that necessary.

The record companies have been aware of Rikke Mølgaard’s considerable talents for years. But their interest always ended up in musical and promotional attempts to turn the 32-year old into something she is not. With Rikke Mølgaard, that cannot be done. Her vision was to record a timeless and stylish album. Eventually, she gathered a team of skilled musicians and set out to record the music to analogue tape to get as much warmth and presence in the sound as possible.

The result, One Side Of Me, is the kind of album that’s all about the voice and the feel. Rikke Mølgaard’s husky timbre and soul phrasing on top of a well-playing band redecorates your living room into an intimate Manhattan-jazzclub. Modern classics such as Let’s Stay Together, Saving All My Love and Georgy Porgy sits neatly alongside new songs by Rikke Mølgaard and guitarist Søren Reiff – known from his work with keyboardist Dave Garfield amongst others.

The American singer and songwriter, Michael Ruff, who has had songs recorded by Bonnie Raitt and a host of other great artists, has written Testimony. Nothing short of a scoop.

Previously, Rikke Mølgaard has shown many different sides to her talent on TV-shows and in big stage productions. On One Side Of Me she finally shows the side that’s completely her own.
